Job summary

Plaid seeks a Senior Technical Sourcer to build pipelines behind our most challenging technical searches. You will own the top of the funnel for software engineering, infrastructure, data science, AI/ML, and security, from market research to qualified candidates entering interviews.

You will map the market, analyze competitors, and craft outreach that earns replies from highly sought-after engineers who often ignore typical recruiter messages.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical sourcing/recruiting experience in-house at a high-growth technology company.
• Mastery of sourcing research technique and tooling: boolean and x-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub and CRM/ATS sourcing workflows.
• Demonstrated success in high-volume, high-urgency environments, carrying multiple technical searches at once.
• Genuine fluency in technical skill sets; able to read a job spec and a GitHub profile and make defensible relevance calls.
• Proven track record sourcing for hard-to-fill domains such as AI/ML, data science, data infrastructure, distributed systems, or security engineering.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; outreach is concise, specific, and human.
• Data discipline; can explain funnel metrics and pipeline with numbers.
• Meticulous attention to data hygiene and ownership of pipeline data.

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel strategy and execution for technical reqs across engineering, infrastructure, data, AI/ML, and security.
• Run deep talent research: market maps, org maps, competitor teardowns, conference mining, open-source research, and advanced boolean searches.
• Find niche and emerging technical talent where pool is small and passive.
• Write outreach that gets replies; personalize based on candidate builds.
• Operate at volume with disciplined follow-up cadences and clean ATS data.
• Turn research into intelligence and provide market maps and hiring insights to tailor roles.
• Build diverse pipelines through broad research and inclusive outreach.
• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate and optimize roles for findability.
• Track funnel metrics and share insights to guide where to spend effort.
• Represent Plaid authentically as the first impression to candidates.
