• Develop long-term technical strategy for growth of products and services.
• Present at industry technical and commercial meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Job description

Position Location: Delaware or Virginia This position is the primary veterinary support of Zoetis poultry products and services to the poultry industry in the United States. This position has key face-to-face interaction with customers (internally and externally) in communicating the technical and economic rationale of vaccination, vaccination programming, and other services provided by the company. As a key team member of a sales and technical organization, this position trains and maximizes our field force's knowledge of vaccines, poultry health programs, food safety programs, and poultry production. The ideal location for this role is Delaware or Virginia however, other locations within the Delmarva region of the United States with significant poultry operations may be considered.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESTroubleshoot and provide solutions to commercial producers on flock health/management issuesAdvise customers in designing flock health and vaccination programs to accommodate their needsResponsible for technical planning and execution of customer trials within budgeted expense levels.Assist in the development of a long-term technical strategy for current and future growth of new and existing products.Work with cross functional teams to develop and implement account strategies.Provide effective market feedback to initiate efforts from internal groups to improve the overall technical service function and enhance company service expertise and know-howDevelop and present at key industry technical and commercial meetings.Serve as a liaison between company and universities working on industry issues.Work with our internal regulatory department on field and product issues.Work with marketing on technical information and the development of support material for Zoetis products used in the poultry industry.Contribute expertise to the research and development group for future new product development and implementation into the poultry industry.Participate and provide technical input to Sales & Service management team meetings.Assist in cross training of technical service team and service representatives in the following areas:Troubleshoot customer site problems as needed Customer Service trainingAssistance and leadership for new customer qualification, training and installation Effective market feedback, collaboration and assistance in data development with internal groups and third-party customer suppliersHandle customer complaints and resolutionNew trials and introductionCustomer seminars and organizational support

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DVM and MAM or equivalent qualification acquired through formal training or through work experience demonstrated.Work experience of ten or more years in the poultry industry and familiarity with US and Canada broiler companies.Proven success at managing and working in a team environment. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTSKnowledge of conventional and antibiotic-free commercial poultry production systems as it relates to vaccination programs, medicated feed additives, direct fed microbials, enzymes and associated poultry nutrition
