Job description

Senior Technical Recruiter role based in Fairfax, VA (onsite) with USD 90,000 - 135,000 and a focus on full-cycle hiring for complex technical and cleared positions supporting federal government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for highly specialized technical, cybersecurity, cloud, engineering, and program management roles
• Design and run innovative sourcing strategies to engage passive talent in competitive labor markets
• Collaborate with business leaders to build hiring plans aligned to organizational growth objectives
• Act as a primary talent acquisition advisor to hiring managers, executives, and program leaders
• Advise leadership on labor market trends, compensation competitiveness, and workforce planning approaches
• Build and maintain pipelines for cleared and uncleared talent aligned to current and future contract requirements
• Support capture, proposal, and recompete efforts through strategic candidate identification and outreach
• Develop contingent candidate pipelines for key contract pursuits
• Partner with Business Development to understand anticipated staffing needs
• Maintain relationships with incumbent personnel and hard-to-find technical talent
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience across the recruitment lifecycle
• Strengthen JCS’s employment brand via networking, social media, referrals, and professional associations
• Represent JCS at career fairs, industry events, military transition programs, and networking opportunities
• Analyze recruiting metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements
• Maintain ATS data integrity and follow internal recruiting procedures
• Ensure recruiting activities comply with OFCCP, affirmative action, EEO standards, and applicable federal and state employment laws
• Help develop recruiting policies, procedures, and best practices
• Build talent communities for recurring skill sets: Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, Software Development, Data Analytics, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Project and Program Management
• Create long-term sourcing strategies for critical workforce needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or related field
• 7-10 years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience
• At least 5 years supporting federal government contracting environments
• Proven success recruiting highly technical roles, including:
  • Cybersecurity Engineers
  • Software Developers
  • Cloud Architects
  • DevSecOps Engineers
  • Systems Engineers
  • Network Engineers
  • Program Managers
  • Solutions Architects
• Experience recruiting candidates with Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearances
• CI or Full Scope Polygraphs preferred

• Strong understanding of federal government contracting labor categories and staffing requirements
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and CRM platforms; JAZZHR preferred
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with ability to use recruiting metrics for decision-making
