Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Project Manager in North Carolina to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of digital technology initiatives with integrated project plans and release timelines.

You will coordinate cross-functional Agile teams, manage risks, and engage stakeholders to ensure on-schedule delivery and alignment with governance standards. This role requires 5+ years of technology project leadership and PMP/Agile/Scrum credentials where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading complex technology projects or programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery, SDLC, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with vendor management, change management, and release coordination.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum) preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of digital technology initiatives by developing and managing integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, roadmaps, and release timelines
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Agile teams, engineering, product, business stakeholders, vendors, and enterprise programs to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Maintain sufficient technical and product knowledge to anticipate delivery risks, support tradeoff discussions, and help resolve technical blockers and dependencies
  • Identify, assess, track, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions, ensuring timely escalation and resolution when needed
  • Ensure alignment with organizational governance standards, delivery methodologies, compliance requirements, and quality expectations
  • Manage project resources, capacity planning, team allocations, and delivery constraints while supporting accurate forecasting and execution planning
  • Track and oversee project budgets, financial forecasts, vendor commitments, and resource impacts, providing visibility into factors affecting scope, timeline, and business outcomes
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, product teams, technology partners, architects, vendors, and other key stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, status reporting, risk management, escalations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Translate complex technical delivery information into clear, actionable updates for business partners and executive leadership
  • Support Agile delivery practices through PI planning, sprint and release coordination, dependency management, and cross-team execution oversight
  • Coordinate release readiness activities, approvals, implementation planning, change management, and transition to production support
  • Monitor delivery performance, quality, scope, schedule adherence, and issue trends to promote predictable and high-quality outcomes
  • Contribute to program-level initiatives and continuous improvement efforts by enhancing delivery practices, governance processes, dependency management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 5+ years of experience in related field
  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field
  • Significant experience leading complex technology projects, technical programs, or enterprise delivery initiatives from planning through execution and implementation
  • Advanced expertise in project management disciplines, including risk management, resource planning, budget management, stakeholder engagement, decision-making, and cross-functional team leadership
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, SDLC, technical dependency management, release planning, governance frameworks, and enterprise delivery practices
  • Experience supporting Agile execution, vendor management, business readiness, change management, and release coordination; PMP, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or related project management certification preferred
