Job description

The Senior Technical Project Manager will manage and lead projects through all phases of our SDLC. This role will drive project execution, lead operational technical teams, develop project plans, facilitate team collaboration, and manage work across multiple internal and external teams.

You should have proven experience leading medium to large enterprise-level technical projects or programs using various project methodologies (iterative and waterfall). You thrive in changing environments, can adapt your style accordingly, and motivate your team to do the same. You are analytical, gathering facts before making informed decisions, yet capable of quick solutions when necessary.

What you'll be doing:

1. Create project plans and lead implementation across multiple teams to meet project goals.
2. Collaborate with Technical Product Owners and Technical Leads to achieve goals and outcomes.
3. Document, coordinate cross-team dependencies and risks to keep projects on track.
4. Create and communicate regular project status reports to all organizational levels.
5. Facilitate team events such as daily stand-ups, planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
6. Build operational readiness plans for seamless transition to operational staff.
7. Build relationships with partners, Technical Product Owners, and other stakeholders outside the teams.
8. Work with peers to improve processes and procedures using project management best practices to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Experience and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years leading complex, technical projects.
• 5+ years of experience with hybrid iterative/waterfall development across multiple project frameworks.
• Experience communicating with executive leadership.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and cloud implementation is a plus.
• 3+ years using Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, JIRA Plans, JIRA Align).
• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar are preferred.
