Job summary

Leidos seeks a Technical Projects Manager to oversee the INVICTA program, driving technical execution and coordinating with engineering, product, and stakeholders. Initial location is Northern Virginia with potential hybrid-remote work based on business needs. Must have DoD clearance and extensive DoD program leadership experience.

The role emphasizes risk management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver advanced Situational Awareness capabilities for Army partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline with 12+ years of experience, or a Master's with 10+ years.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required; ability to obtain DoD Top Secret SCI and maintain during employment.
• Proven experience leading mid to large DoD projects, Cost Plus structure, with program financials, technical, and schedule commitments.
• Understanding of AI implementation and applications in solving technical challenges.
• Experience leading multiple projects of varying complexity, innovation/R&D, and services.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, including traditional, Agile, and hybrid.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of multi-domain operations and Army G-2 modernization priorities.
• Ability to engage with Army G-2 and partners on employing new technologies for multi-domain situational awareness.
• Strong written and oral communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives planning and execution of complex, interdependent technical programs.
• Technically aligns emerging technologies with mission outcomes.
• Identifies and mitigates risks to keep projects on track.
• Acts as central facilitator between engineering, product, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identifies and closes On Contract Growth opportunities.
• Networks with intelligence and operational communities to bring new capabilities.
• Oversees multiple projects for interoperability and standards compliance.
• Supports the Program Manager and can act as Program Manager when required.
• Supports the Chief Engineer in ensuring engineering discipline and interoperability.
• Utilizes program plans and metrics to guide technical execution.
• Prepares and delivers senior-level program briefings.
