Job summary

Google in Seattle seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects from start to finish. You will align requirements, assess risks, manage schedules, and clearly communicate with cross-functional partners, including executives.

You will shape the AI user experience across the stack, manage a team within Workspace Intelligence and Workspace Search, and partner with teams across Google to deliver faster, higher-quality AI results for internal and external users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 10 years of experience in product, engineering, operations, or technical consulting roles.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management.
  • Drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity and governance over prioritization decisions.
  • Lead strategic planning framework for a complex program portfolio including resourcing decisions and stakeholders.
  • Drive mission-critical success for GenAI programs across AI, 1p/2p/3p programs and infrastructure projects.

Job description

In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based employees.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 10 years of experience in product, engineering, operations, or technical consulting roles.
Preferred qualifications
  • 10 years of experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership roles with/without direct reports.
  • Experience in building AI features or AI Platforms.
  • Experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or a related technical field.
  • Experience leading strategic planning frameworks for complex program portfolios, including direct influence over resourcing decisions and planning stakeholders.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI user experience, working across a range of components in the stack, including Frontend, Serving, Integrations, and more. Your primary focus will be managing a team of Technical Program Manager (T/PgMs) in the Workspace Intelligence and Workspace Search teams to build an AI agent driven ecosystems to empower internal 1P and 2Ps to implement faster and higher quality AI results, partnering closely with teams across Workspace (WS) Engineering, Program Manager (PM), and UX to drive improvements across all Workspace apps.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $240000 - $334000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
