Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Search Ecosystem to direct migrations, compliance initiatives, and onboarding of partners to the Web Search Service. You will orchestrate end-to-end platform deprecations and coordinate across engineering, product, and partnerships.

You will lead with a focus on regulatory alignment, AI-driven automation, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate migrations and uphold enterprise standards worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 8 years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or system architecture, driving infrastructure migrations, deprecations, or API rollouts.
• Experience delivering technical programs that enforce API platforms' legal, regulatory, or data governance compliance.

• Sunset legacy unmanaged full-web search with zero-downtime migration.
• Govern end-to-end technical and commercial migrations of high-value enterprise partners onto the Web Search Service (WSS).
• Serve as primary triage authority for high-friction enterprise partners while implementing auditable guardrails to satisfy legal obligations and SLAs.
• Partner with engineering, product, legal, cloud, and ads leadership to align modernization strategy and track risk burndowns.
• Integrate generative AI and autonomous workflows to automate migration tracking and boost velocity.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 8 years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, or system architecture, specifically driving infrastructure migrations, system deprecations, or API lifecycle rollouts.
• Experience delivering technical programs that enforce legal, regulatory, or data governance compliance for API platforms.

Preferred qualifications

• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in integrating generative AI frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), or autonomous workflows directly into program tracking, reporting, and operational task automation.
• Proven ability to act as the primary technical triage authority for critical, high-friction enterprise partners (such as financial or sovereign clients) navigating strict constraints.

Serving as the primary entry point for Google’s search technology, we own the platforms, APIs, and compliance architectures that expose our search index externally. Our portfolio manages billions of daily queries, protects critical syndication revenue streams, and implements rigorous regulatory guardrails while delivering Google’s next-generation AI search capabilities to external developers, enterprises, and partners.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Search Ecosystem, you will serve as the single point of accountability directing high-stakes platform migrations and strategic syndication compliance initiatives. Your mandate is orchestrating the comprehensive global deprecation of legacy unmanaged full-web search. Simultaneously, you will lead the end-to-end technical and commercial onboarding of partners onto the flagship Web Search Service (WSS).

In this role, you will safeguard strategic alliances, enforce strict legal and regulatory compliance, and align cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and partnerships. To maximize operational velocity, you will pioneer the adoption of generative AI and autonomous workflows across all workstreams. You will brings extensive experience leading large-scale API migrations, deep comfort with distributed system architectures, and the executive presence to influence senior cross-functional leaders and external partners.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
