Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager in Seattle to lead cross-functional Privacy, Safety, and Security programs, driving roadmaps, milestones, and governance from inception to long-term handoff. You will coordinate with engineers, product managers, UX, and legal to translate requirements into actionable plans.

  • Identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and risks across product lifecycle with mitigation playbooks.
  • Establish intake pipelines, dashboards, and KPIs for data-driven program health.
  • Translate PSS mandates and AI security frameworks into actionable roadmaps and deliverables.
  • Facilitate alignment across Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX, and Legal with structured communications.

Job description

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience creating technical roadmaps and engineering deliverables.
  • Experience in communicating with executive and technical audiences.
Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree, MBA, or advanced technical degree.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in customer success, product adoption, technical enablement, or GTM strategy for developer tools or enterprise platforms.
  • Experience designing scalable processes, self-service tooling, or leveraging AI agents and workflows to dramatically increase team velocity and efficiency
  • Familiarity with privacy, safety, cybersecurity, AI safety frameworks (e.g., Secure AI Framework, prompt injection, red teaming), or identity/authentication systems.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Lead high-profile, cross-functional Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) programs, defining scope, roadmaps, phased milestones, and operational governance from 0-to-1 incubation through to long-term handover.
  • Identify program bottlenecks, cross-product area dependencies, and emerging risks across the product lifecycle, executing rapid interventions and robust mitigation playbooks.
  • Establish intake pipelines, tracking dashboards, and key performance metrics (goal mapping, delivery rates, resource allocation) to maintain data-driven visibility into overall program health.
  • Translate complex PSS mandates and AI security frameworks into actionable, low-friction technical roadmaps, playbooks, and engineering deliverables.
  • Drive consensus across Software Engineer, Product Manager, UX, and Legal teams while maintaining structured communication cadences (Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), executive briefs) to align executive leadership and resolve escalations.
