Job summary

IDR is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join a top client in New York, NY. This mid-level role targets professionals with 5–10 years in IT project/program management who excel in complex technology initiatives and thrive in a collaborative team culture.

The position involves leading IT infrastructure deployment programs, coordinating cross-functional teams across construction, cabling, and networking, and guiding PMs through all lifecycle phases.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in technical program/project management.
• Experience coordinating infrastructure deployments across construction, cabling, and networking teams.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Six Sigma advantageous.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow SPM including PPM and Demand Management is advantageous.
• Ability to manage projects from initiation to closure, aligning with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure and deployment program plans with cabling and networking teams for new builds, refreshes, and construction.
• Lead a team of project managers through all phases of the technology project lifecycle, including scope development, requirements gathering, and solution design.
• Oversee project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar tools, manage budgets, and ensure risk and issue management.
• Facilitate change management and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and address roadblocks proactively and implement contingency plans to maintain momentum.
