Job summary

Uplight is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across Product and Engineering, driving end-to-end delivery from planning to launch. The role partners with leaders across teams to surface risks, manage dependencies, and keep programs on track in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience managing technical programs in a software product company.
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.
• Technical fluency with API and data model concepts without being a software engineer.
• Experience coordinating across teams without direct authority using influence and relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to impose structure.
• Experience in agile, pod-based engineering with multiple workstreams.
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams across time zones (NA and India).
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of complex cross-functional technical programs from planning through launch.
• Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, and leadership to manage dependencies and blockers.
• Lead strategic initiatives including platform modernization, OEM integrations, and internal systems improvements.
• Build program plans, risk registers, dependency maps, and launch readiness criteria.
• Facilitate technical decision-making and cross-functional planning across distributed teams.
• Translate technical complexity into clear risks, trade-offs, and leadership recommendations.
• Identify execution risks early and drive resolution or escalation.
• Partner with engineering leads and product managers to prioritize work.
• Improve program management standards, tooling, and operating practices.
