Hunter Fan in Memphis is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, EE (IoT Devices) to drive hardware-software integration across hardware, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in consumer electronics/IoT, 5+ years leading cross-functional teams, hands-on PCB/Gerber experience, and strong communication.

Detailed Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive alignment across hardware, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
  • Manage program schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables
  • Review and interpret PCBA schematics, layouts, and key electrical considerations (signal integrity, power, EMI/EMC)
  • Lead board bring-up, debugging, and design trade-offs with engineering teams
  • Apply knowledge of Gerber files, PCB fabrication, and DFM/DFA principles to influent design decisions
  • Lead cross-functional reviews and ensure execution through all development gates
  • Drive prototype, engineering and production builds, cost optimization, and production readiness
  • Ensure seamless IoT integration and certification (Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, Matter, Wi-Fi, BLE) and communicate program status, risks, and KPIs to stakeholders
Education/Experience Requirements
  • BS. Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of experience in consumer electronics and smart home (IOT) product development
  • 5+ years of project management experience, leading cross functional teams
  • Project management experience in the consumer product industry using the latest tools and techniques required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven success in dynamic environments
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Hands on experience with gerber file generation and validation
  • Deep knowledge of embedded systems and firmware interaction
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread, Zigbee, Matter)

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Willing to take the initiative to correct issues
  • Exceptional collaborative, teaming and consensus building abilities, as well as proficiency in cross-discipline, cross-organization and cross-product group cooperation
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience working with global teams (engineering + manufacturing)
  • Works with a sense of urgency and drives teams to achieve results
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design tools
  • Strong ability to read and interpret PCBA layouts and schematics
  • Experience with Matter / smart home ecosystem certification
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, UL)
