Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Product Owner at its facility located at 540 W Madison St, #310, Chicago, IL 60661.
Maximize the value of the product and the work of the development team. Function as product owner for larger, more complex projects with high value to the organization. Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog according to business value for the project life. Communicate product backlog priorities to the team. Act as the key decision-maker regarding what features the product will have. Responsible for the vision of what is to be built and conveying that vision to the team and assisting with the elaboration of epics, themes and features into user stories that are small enough, or granular enough, to be achieved in a single sprint. Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every sprint and collaborate closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization. Make decisions on release dates and content. Represent the customer and interface and engage with customers. Lead the daily scrum, sprint plans, reveals and retrospectives. Inspect product progress at the end of every sprint and accept or reject the work that has been done by the development team. Function as the voice of the team, communicating status externally. Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or related occupation in the Software Development industry.

Summary Pay Range:
$124,072.00 – $179,640.00 per year
