Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking a Technical Product Manager in the United States to align product priorities with cross-functional plans across engineering, operations, and business functions. You will drive risk identification, ownership clarity, and timely delivery while maintaining visibility of schedules, costs, and readiness.

The role requires strong technical breadth, NPI or PLM experience, and demonstrated ability to influence diverse teams.

Qualifications

Requires a technical discipline (BS/MS/PhD) with 10+ years in semiconductor capital equipment, manufacturing, metrology, inspection, process control, NPI, or product lifecycle management.
Experience leading large cross-functional technical initiatives and managing product or program risk, cost, and schedule.
Strong written, verbal, organizational and executive communication skills; ability to influence leaders.

Responsibilities

Keep risk, cost, schedule, readiness, and open commitments visible and controllable.
Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation with clear owners.
Review accountability, clarify priorities, and push critical deliverables forward.
Maintain cross-functional alignment of commitments, dependencies, and resources.
Track schedules and drive recovery when commitments slip.
Monitor COGS and cost drivers, and ensure documentation, test plans, and release deliverables.
Help define new policies where none exist and roll out new processes.
Coordinate readiness for milestones, releases, transitions, deployments, and qualifications.
