Job summary

KLA Industries in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Technical Product Manager for FPGA, RF & DSP to own strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of RF, DSP, and FPGA-based COTS solutions.

You will translate complex RF/DSP concepts into concrete product requirements, collaborate with engineering and sales, lead NPI through launch, and work with customers to identify opportunities.

This role blends hands-on engineering with product leadership in a fast-growing embedded defense tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years of RF, DSP, FPGA, embedded electronics experience in defense/embedded markets.
• Strong understanding of FPGA architectures, RF systems, and DSP.
• Understand RF-to-digital signal chain, including RF front ends and data converters.
• Translate technical concepts into product requirements and business cases.
• Experience with embedded electronics or software.
• Strong communication with engineering, sales, customers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain product strategy for RF/DSP/FPGA solutions.
• Develop multi-year roadmaps based on customer needs, technology trends, competitive intelligence, and business objectives.
• Translate complex system-level requirements and engineering tradeoffs into product strategies and requirements.
• Develop business cases for new products and present recommendations to executive leadership.
• Lead product concept definition and support the NPI process from initial requirements through product launch.
• Evaluate competitive products, technologies, architectures, and relevant form factors.
• Manage product-line financial performance, including revenue, cost, profitability, and investment priorities.
• Partner closely with engineering to define product requirements, technical differentiation, and development priorities.
• Work with sales, customers, and partners to understand market requirements and identify new opportunities.
• Participate in customer engagements and provide technical support during complex discussions.
• Develop technical presentations, product collateral, training materials, and other product communications.
• Support secure customer engagements where required.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend product enhancements, investments, or lifecycle changes.
• Influence cross-functional teams and drive positive outcomes without direct authority.
• Communicate complex RF, DSP, FPGA, and embedded technologies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
