Job summary

Kontron AG in the United States is seeking a technical product owner to define product strategy, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans for embedded computing products, translating customer and market inputs into clear requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, quality, and global Kontron teams to ensure products meet technical and lifecycle goals, pricing, and lifecycle management, including supporting early adopter programs and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, sales, or related role preferred.
• Experience with embedded computing, industrial computing, technology products, or complex B2B products preferred.
• Product Development Experience in embedded computing
• Experience and ability to understand and modify work in schematics and layouts (embedded computing) high-frequency BUS designs
• Ability to understand customer needs, market requirements, competitive positioning, and product value propositions
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management, go-to-market planning, pricing, forecasting, and product launch processes preferred
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, quality, and supply chain
• Travel up to 25-50% domestically/internationally (as needed)

Responsibilities

• Translate customer, market, and sales inputs into clear technical product requirements, system-level use cases, and engineering-ready specifications.
• Define and execute product strategy, technical roadmap, and go-to-market approach for embedded computing products.
• Collaborate with engineering to evaluate architecture, processor technology, I/O, thermal, power, firmware dependencies, and configuration options.
• Support technical feasibility reviews, design trade-offs, and custom solutions for opportunities.
• Deliver a clear technical and commercial value proposition for Sales and Marketing to generate demand.
• Maintain relationships with customers, sales, field engineers, and R&D to understand needs and lifecycles.
• Plan internal and external training, launch activities, and provide technical collateral.
