The Opportunity

This role will start remotely and then transition to hybrid/onsite in late Spring of 2026. Relocation is available for non-Austin based candidate and we urge you to apply if you are open to relocation

We are a very well-established, industry leader within the safety tech space. If you’re a product leader who thrives at the intersection of payment experiences, behavioral design, and government partnerships, this is your chance to own a critical journey: Violator Lifecycle. This role is about driving violator payment completion, similar to a checkout or other payment experience, but with the complexity of business‑to‑government (B2G) dynamics, regulatory constraints, and the need for creative experimentation where traditional A/B testing isn’t always possible.

You’ll define and optimize the end‑to‑end violator experience, from notification to resolution, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency while meeting compliance standards. Reporting to the Director Product and Design, you’ll partner across Legal, Operations, Engineering, and Government Relations to deliver measurable outcomes.

What You Will Do
Own the Violator Journey Vision & Roadmap
  • Define the strategy for violator lifecycle, from first notice to payment and closure.
  • Prioritize initiatives that reduce friction, improve conversion, and maintain compliance.
  • Balance user empathy with enforcement rigor to drive behavior change.
Drive Experimentation in a Regulated Space
  • Innovate beyond traditional A/B testing and drive rigorous experimentation in a B2G space. Design pilots, phased rollouts, and proxy metrics.
  • Partner with government stakeholders to validate changes within legal frameworks.
  • Use behavioral science principles to influence decision‑making and payment completion.
Optimize Payment Experience
  • Treat violator payment like a high‑stakes checkout flow—speed, clarity, and trust matter.
  • Collaborate with UX, Engineering, and Finance to streamline payment options and flows.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across digital and offline channels.
Foster Cross‑Functional Alignment
  • Act as the connective tissue between Product, Legal, Compliance, and Government Relations.
  • Translate complex regulatory constraints into actionable product requirements.
  • Communicate roadmap and trade‑offs clearly to executives and external partners
What You Bring
  • 7+ years in product management, with experience in payments, compliance, or B2G.
  • Proven success optimizing high-friction user journeys (checkout, billing, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with proxy metrics, impact sizing, and experimentation.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and regulatory complexity with creativity and rigor.
  • Exceptional communication skills for executive and government audiences.
  • Experience in automated traffic enforcement, AI, cameras, and fleet safety technology.
  • A bias for action, the experience to lead from the front, and the wisdom to empower others while leading from the back.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional strategic initiatives with senior executives.
  • Strong data science and analytical skills with experience in sizing, Fermi‑style estimation, impact analysis, metrics, experiments, and measurement.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, developing clear and concise priorities and roadmaps.
Key Outcomes

This role is critical to transforming our AI in‑the‑cloud product by extending to our AI at‑the‑edge for our internal and external stakeholders (target users). High‑level goals for this new capability include:

  • Increase violator payment completion rate by >5% within 12 months.
  • Launch at least two innovative payment alternatives or journey optimizations in 2026.
  • Establish a repeatable framework for experimentation in B2G environments.
  • Deliver a violator experience that balances enforcement, empathy, and efficiency.

Our safety programs are violator‑funded, meaning that those who break the law pay for the technology that protects children. We build solid partnerships in the communities in which we operate which, coupled with our innovative business model, leads to sustainable efforts to change driver behaviors.

We are looking for a valued member of our growing team to assist us in our quest to improve children’s safety. This is an important role for us and a great opportunity for the right candidate. Our environment is inclusive, diverse, ignited, built on integrity, and deeply committed.
