What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Install and upgrade computers and peripherals throughout the district
- Diagnose and repair technology equipment, including printers and personal computers
- Analyze and resolve technology issues using help desk software
- Provide technical support to users in person, via telephone, and remote access
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain accurate records of repairs and services
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience as an IT Support Technician
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, and networking
- Ability to travel as required
- Experience in a technical support environment preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft certifications
- Google IT Support Professional certification
- Previous experience in basic networking and infrastructure cabling
- Familiarity with help desk software
