Job summary

BMA Group Global is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer who is a hands-on networking expert. You will lead complex networking, automation, and telemetry initiatives while building demos and labs for customer engagements.

Ideal candidates have deep routing and switching expertise, strong Python/Linux/API skills, and experience with gNMI/YANG telemetry. This hybrid role requires relocation to Puerto Rico and collaboration across Engineering, PM, Sales, and Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on networking experience across SP/enterprise/data center.
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, architecture and troubleshooting.
• Strong Python/Linux/API skills and network automation experience.
• Experience with labs, POCs, and integrations for validation.
• Experience with gNMI, YANG, telemetry and API-driven networks.
• Familiarity with network management, observability and assurance platforms.
• Excellent customer-facing presentation and cross-functional collaboration

Senior Technical Marketing Engineer

Work Model: Hybrid — average 2 days per week in office

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer who is first and foremost a hands-on networking expert. This role requires deep expertise in routing, switching, network architecture, and advanced troubleshooting, combined with experience in automation, telemetry, assurance, and modern network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex networking, automation, and telemetry initiatives.
• Build and validate labs, POCs, reference architectures, integrations, and technical demonstrations.
• Translate customer challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Services.
• Work with APIs, network programmability, assurance, observability, and AI-driven operations.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor during customer engagements.
• Develop technical demonstrations and enablement content.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant networking experience.
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, network architecture, and troubleshooting within Service Provider, Enterprise, and/or large‑scale Data Center environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python/scripting, Linux, APIs, and network automation.
• Experience building and troubleshooting networking labs, POCs, and integrations.
• Experience with gNMI, YANG, streaming telemetry, and API‑driven architectures.
• Experience with network management, assurance, observability, and/or control‑point applications.
• Strong customer‑facing, presentation, and cross‑functional leadership skills.

Preferred

• Juniper networking experience, cloud‑native networking, network assurance/observability platforms, and familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, or AI‑assisted network operations.

Ideal Candidate: A senior networking expert who still loves building—someone who can personally create labs, automation, integrations, POCs, and customer demonstrations while providing technical leadership across teams.
