About Technical OperationsBioMarinu2019s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. u00A0 SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Fully remote roleu00A0 u00A0 The Sr. Technical Manager, Data Analytics & Technology will lead, and shape identification and implementation of tools and techniques required to collect, analyze and present data with a focus on developing and delivering impactful solutions for the global quality organization and operations. These solutions will be designed with the objective of improving, systems, processes and overall performance of the quality and broader technical operations organization. The person in this role will also play a key role in developing and maturing digital innovation for the quality organization. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in data management with the ability to drive innovation and optimization in business analytics and predictive analytics. They also have a strong background in current and emerging digital technologies such as AI, machine learning and cloud computing to address complex challenges in manufacturing and quality. RESPONSIBILITIES u00A0
- Develop, implement and continuously improve the framework for quality performance metrics to provide end users, BPOs and management the appropriate visibility on operational performance with the objective of identifying areas for improvement u00A0
- Continuously improve level of automation in how data within the quality organization is managed through implementation of innovative applications, tools and best practices
- Partner on cross functional enterprise-wide data initiatives (e.g. Databricks) to harmonize ingestion, storage and governance of quality data
- Develop reports and presentations that highlight key quality metrics (e.g., for Quality Management Reviews), meaningful trends and areas requiring attention
- Provide training and awareness sessions for staff members to continuously improve data awareness and build data analytics capabilities within quality
- Drive development and realization of the digital strategy and roadmap for the global Quality organization; translate business priorities into a practical roadmap of initiatives that accelerate performance and quality
- Champion cloud technologies and digital solutions to optimize processes, enhance visibility, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Deploy and manage digital tools to improve product quality and operational resilience.
- Lead the implementation of generative AI solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making, identify high-value use cases, and deploy AI-driven tools for process optimization and innovation across the quality management system.
- Act as data steward for all core quality metricsu2014define data sources, enforce data integrity and manage lifecycle governance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with IT, Solution Architects and business stakeholders to secure alignment, accelerate delivery and ensure sustained adoption of digital solutions.
- Monitor and benchmark industry trends and emerging technologies (pharma and beyond), recommending leading-edge tools and practices that balance innovation with controlled environments.
- Conduct strategic options analyses to inform investment decisions and/or prioritize digital-quality technology solutions that align with strategic business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS u00A0
- Bachelor'su00A0or advanced degree (preferred)u00A0in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field)u00A0
- 8+ years of experience with Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or other highly regulated industry
- In depth knowledge and experience with data management and data sciences.u00A0
- Extensive experience in designing and managing cloud-based data pipelines, with hands-onu00A0expertiseu00A0in platforms like Databricks and working across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)u00A0
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with quality measurement frameworks, tools, and software applications used in tracking and reporting quality metrics. Specific proficiencies include:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Fabric (PowerBI) for data analysis and reporting
- Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies and tools
- Database (RDBMS) skills [e.g. SQL, schema development]
- Programming background [e.g. Python, DAX, R]
- Experience with statistical analysis and associated software
- Proficiency in using QMS software (Veeva)
- Solid mathematical foundations in machine learning and AI,u00A0with a deep understanding of probability, statistics, optimization algorithms and architecture for developing predictive models and AI applications.u00A0
- Strong communicationu00A0and stakeholder management skills with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
