This Opportunity

WSP is looking for a Senior Dam Engineer to lead our Dams and Levees team that can sit in our Chamblee (Atlanta), GA, other GA locations, Alabama, or Tennessee WSP office. The ideal candidate will bring experience in designing, constructing, and maintaining dams and related hydraulic structures. This role is pivotal to our growing dams and levees business. Your Impact
  • Lead the design and analysis of dam structures, including earthfill, rockfill, concrete gravity, and arch dams.
  • Oversee the construction and maintenance of dams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site investigations and assessments to determine the feasibility and safety of dam projects.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, designs, and technical specifications.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, hydrologists, and environmental scientists.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations throughout all project phases.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential dam failures or issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote WSP and your profile.
Required Qualifications
