Job summary

Soltesz is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to serve as a technical authority within our Land Development practice. This role is designed for a seasoned civil engineer who wants to remain deeply engaged in technical work, design quality, engineering judgment, and complex problem-solving—without traditional project or people management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• P.E. license in Maryland.
• 20+ years of land development civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Maryland and local jurisdiction regulations.
• Proven ability to provide senior-level technical review, judgment, and problem-solving guidance.
• Stormwater management, grading, utilities, permitting and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performing advanced technical reviews of plans, calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Providing expert guidance on complex engineering and regulatory issues.
• Supporting QA/QC standards and technical best practices.
• Assisting project teams with technically sound solutions.
• Promoting consistency, accuracy, and quality across design deliverables.
