Job summary

Ditesco, based in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking aSenior Civil Engineer/Technical Lead to act as the technical backbone of the civil municipal design practice across northern Colorado. You will review plans, ensure quality and constructability, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with project managers.

The role requires a Colorado-registered PE, 15+ years in municipal design, proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong leadership, communication, and QA/QC experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado required.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible civil engineering design experience with emphasis on municipal infrastructure, water, sewer, storm drainage, roadway/site design.
• Experience as a senior design reviewer or technical lead on multi-discipline civil projects.
• Ability to mentor and develop engineering staff; strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and hydraulic/hydrologic tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and senior design reviewer for civil municipal design projects across northern Colorado.
• Perform and document independent QA/QC reviews of plans, specs, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Verify compliance with municipal criteria, regulations, and industry standards of care.
• Establish and improve design standards, checklists, CAD/drafting standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers; support PE licensure and professional development.
