HCLTech in Santa Clara is seeking a hands-on mechanical reliability engineer to design, build and integrate complex test fixtures for CT-based product testing. You will take a concept from design through fabrication, CT-system integration, automation, and data analysis largely independently.
The role emphasizes robotics/mechatronics, Python control, AI/ML for imaging data, and close collaboration with imaging, design, and failure-analysis teams.
Design, build, and integrate complex mechanical reliability/stress-test fixtures for product testing, with the fixtures designed to interface directly with our CT (computed tomography) scanning systems. The goal is to stress test products under controlled mechanical conditions while enabling in-situ or sequential CT imaging to inspect internal structural/failure effects. This role requires a hands-on, self-driven engineer who can take a test concept from design through fabrication, CT-system integration, automation, and data analysis — largely independently.

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
