Amentum seeks a Senior Technical Editor to write, edit, and manage technical documentation for the Dahlgren Division, supporting HERO, HERP, and HERF reports, as well as RADHAZ assessments and MIL-STD analyses. The role includes supervising a small team of tech writers, marking and tracking classified documents, and ensuring quality and compliance under applicable security requirements.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of experience in writing, editing and managing technical documentation.
• Four (4) years specialized E3 composition experience with classified document handling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active Secret US Government Clearance. US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Support writing, editing, and managing E3 technical documents such as HERO, HERP, and HERF reports.
• Supervise tech editor personnel.
• Support Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division and related MIL-STD analyses.
