Job summary

Exyte seeks a senior specialist to drive Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities initiatives in the Americas. You will apply deep technical and project experience to expand the business, mentor teams, and guide solutions that meet regulatory expectations.

You will train staff, support pre‑sales activities, and collaborate with client account managers to position projects effectively across the Americas region.

The SME - Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities is responsible for providing business knowledge, project experience, and technical competence to support the growth of the Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities business. Supports the strategic direction of Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities Businesses Development group by marketing project delivery differentiators and value added propositions to gain competitive advantage. Also supports client account managers and business development managers in positioning and developing clients and projects in Americas region.

• Ensures company safety policies and the Site Specific Plan are proactively communicated and consistently enforced on all projects
• Uses business knowledge, project experience and technical competence to support the growth of the Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities business
• Establishes oneself as an industry recognized technical specialist in Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities
• Applies high-energy, passion and team approach to produce world-class projects and achieve company target margins
• Introduces new ideas, methods and innovative approaches to process and facility design problem solving aimed at meeting challenging and changing client needs. Share ideas, methods and approaches with staff and design team members through mentoring
• Participates in project programming activities
• Trains and supports project teams to understand customer and regulatory expectations throughout the project life cycle
• Ensures that designs are consistent with industry-accepted practice, leading edge technologies and special client preferred features
• Actively trains and mentors staff on BLS design issues, lessons learned and best practices
• Supports the strategic direction of Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities Businesses Development group by identifying project delivery differentiators and value added propositions to gain competitive advantage
• Supports client account managers and business development managers in positioning and developing clients and projects in Americas region
• Plans, organizes, and administers program activities to support the needs of our clients
• Maintains contact with past project clients to develop leads and show interest in maintaining a relationship
• Coordinates project team for proposal effort, strategy, and budget
• Provides pre-sales support to evaluate project feasibility and develops preliminary designs to support sales efforts and project bids
• Strengthens the company’s ability to compete for a wide range of project types in the field of Biopharma Life Sciences Facilities
• Leverage project experience to strengthen the company’s project portfolio in the Americas region
• Other duties as assigned

Professional Experience & Education

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
• Master’s degree and/or PHD preferred
• 10+ years of experience

Preferred

• Experience in a technology assessment role (trends, opportunities, challenges) within high-tech industry environment
• Experience implementing new technical initiatives within the organization with demonstrated ROI impact
• Prior experience working in Biopharma Life Sciences facilities in any of the following roles: technology, operations, supply chain, capital equipment, or facilities planning
• Customer service experience. Experience facing internal/external clients and mature industry audiences
• Prior experience working in EPC services preferred

• Has the ability to absorb technical knowledge in markets outside of his/her core
• Demonstrated ability to influence internal management and customers
• Self-motivated, ability to collaborate with peers/collaborators across remote offices and time zones
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Detail-oriented with the ability to think strategically
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
