Job summary

The Freeman Company seeks a Senior Technical Director to lead technical strategy and production solutions for large-scale client programs. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from RFP to on-site execution, ensuring technical excellence and profitability.

You will mentor Technical Directors and collaborate with sales, operations, and clients to craft scalable event designs, budgets, and production plans. Travel is required 25–50% for shows and sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred and relevant work experience required.
• Minimum 15 years of project management experience, with corporate events focus.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical direction for large events.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff.
• Experience supporting proposals, estimates, and RFP responses.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across complex event programs.
• Mentor Technical Directors and project leads through planning and execution.
• Develop client relationships to position Studio Blue as a strategic partner.
• Collaborate with Sales, Executives, and Operations on designs and budgets.
• Review RFPs, develop technical approaches, and contribute estimates.
• Validate production plans, budgets, schedules, and vendor scopes.
• Provide escalation support for onsite production challenges.
• Support contract and resourcing decisions for events.
• Create production documentation and on-site workflows.
