NYC Alliance seeks a highly skilled Technical Designer with extensive experience working with Walmart to join our product development team. The role focuses on fit, construction, and technical specifications across categories, ensuring quality and brand integrity from development through production.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in men’s and women’s technical design, strong documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with factories, designers, and retail tech teams in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in men’s/woman’s technical design.
• Ability to assemble detailed technical packages for style development.
• Participated in fittings.
• Ability to define clear points of measure and grade rules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical packages for fit sample development in all categories.
• Evaluate fit samples, pre-production and TOP samples for specs, quality and workmanship.
• Maintain consistency of product fit, technical specifications and development processes across brands.
• Participate in fittings with designers and merchandisers on live models and body forms.
• Write up fit comments to factory with technical comments and photos.
• Maintain a product library for future reference.
• Correspond with factory and retailers' technical staff daily to solve problems.
• Coordinate with Production on follow-up and timing of approval comments to meet delivery expectations.
• Act as liaison between Design, Sales, Production and Factory to ensure samples meet specs.
• Log into vendor websites to update and retrieve information.
• Plan fit schedules with models and designers.
• Update and maintain department fit logs.
