Job summary

Verto People Ltd is seeking a Senior Technical Designer for its San Francisco studio, to lead technical development across workplace and commercial interiors. You will translate design concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions, coordinate docs, and mentor junior designers while ensuring code compliance and construction quality.

The role emphasizes Revit/BIM proficiency, collaboration with designers, consultants, and contractors, and delivery from design development through construction

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in interior architecture or design.
• Experience delivering corporate workplaces and commercial interiors.
• Advanced BIM and Revit skills with strong knowledge of construction docs.
• Familiarity with building codes, accessibility, egress, life-safety.
• Experience coordinating consultants and building systems.
• Ability to mentor junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership from design development through construction.
• Translate concepts into coordinated, buildable, code-compliant solutions.
• Lead construction documents development and coordination.
• Develop plans, elevations, ceilings, lighting and interior details.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, acoustical systems.
• Mentor junior designers and support technical development.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and drawing coordination.
• Support permitting and agency approvals.
• Conduct field surveys and document existing conditions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and vendors.
• Resolve technical issues during project delivery.
• Oversee construction administration activities.
