Dreamwear Inc. is seeking a Technical Designer for a New York on-site role to drive fittings, create technical packs, and partner with factories to ensure fit and construction quality.

Lead live-model fittings, manage timelines, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 6-8 years in technical design, a pattern-making/technical design degree, and strong proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of prior experience in Technical design.
• Degree in pattern making and Technical design is preferred.
• Self-starter with ability to lead and function independently.
• Great attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Team player with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, strong communication skills and necessary follow through.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Lead fittings on live models and convey fit comments and construction comments to factories independently.
• Prioritize and manage sample tracking and fit approvals from first fit through TOP, making sure all deadlines are met.
• Create initial specs based off a sketch and/or samples from Design Team and update technical packs for multiple product categories.
• Collaborate with designers and product development on product design to provide technical expertise on specs and construction.
• Independently track and prioritize sample flow
• Check and approve pre-production samples independently
• Spec out fit garments in all categories.
