Job summary

The Crowd is partnering with a highly regarded New York design studio to find an Intermediate Architectural Designer to join its growing team. This role offers increased ownership, exposure to varied hospitality, residential and lifestyle-led projects, and a clear path toward senior-level work.

You will work closely with senior designers, contribute across design and construction stages, and coordinate with consultants to push projects through documentation and construction.

Qualifications

• Around 4–8 years of professional experience within architecture or interior architecture.
• Strong technical and documentation skills with good knowledge of construction detailing.
• Experience on high-end residential, hospitality, restaurant or design-led projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural and interiors packages from design development through construction.
• Produce detailed drawing sets, specifications and technical information for project delivery.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and internal teams throughout design and construction.
• Review submittals and shop drawings, helping resolve design and technical issues.
• Support material research and maintain overall design quality and consistency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer who has built a strong foundation in practice and is now looking for more responsibility, stronger project exposure and a clearer path towards senior-level work.

The studio works on a varied portfolio of beautifully considered hospitality, residential and lifestyle-led projects, with a strong focus on quality, detail and materiality. You’ll be involved across multiple stages of the design process and work closely with experienced senior designers and project leaders who will give you the opportunity to take on increasing ownership as you develop.

The role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the design, but who is equally comfortable getting into the technical detail, coordinating with consultants and helping move projects through documentation and construction. Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural and interiors packages from design development through construction

Key Skills / Requirements

• Around 4–8 years of professional experience within architecture or interior architecture
• Previous experience working on high-end residential, hospitality, restaurant or other design-led projects
• Strong technical and documentation skills, with good knowledge of construction and detailing
• Proficiency in Revit alongside a solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Confident working with consultants and project teams, with the ambition to take on greater project and client responsibility over time
