Job summary

Kontoor Brands in Greensboro seeks a Technical Designer to lead complete technical development of pattern making and technical specifications from concept to sampling. You will focus on brand product lines, ensuring on‑time, margin‑targeted pre‑production packages and clear communication to production partners.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine fit blocks in 2D and 3D, maintain pattern documentation, and support materials and SOPs across denim, bottoms, tops, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apparel manufacturing experience in pattern and technical development.
• 5+ years of in‑depth knowledge of end‑to‑end product manufacturing processes.
• Jeanswear/denim and/or Tops/BOTTOMS experience preferred; other categories supported.
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities; able to meet deadlines.
• Advanced skills in Illustrator and MS Office; SharePoint/Teams/Excel proficiency; Smartsheet helpful.
• Lectra Accumark 2D and Browzwear Vstitcher 3D experience highly valued.
• PLM experience a plus during upcoming transitions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on pre‑production pattern development and specifications.
• Collaborate with Production Technical Design to create production‑ready packages.
• Implement design changes with accurate documentation and timely delivery.
• Develop and apply fit blocks in 2D and 3D pattern development.
• Maintain asset management and SOPs for materials, labeling, folding guides.
• Resolve pattern, construction, quality, finishing issues in pre‑production.
• Adopt new tools and practices to improve workflows and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Own personal training and participate in performance reviews.
