Job summary

Stitch Fix, headquartered in San Francisco, seeks a Senior Technical Designer to own fit and grading across multiple product categories. You will apply advanced pattern making, grading, and construction knowledge to ensure consistent quality and fit from concept to production.

You will collaborate with design, product, and vendor teams, using AI-enabled tools and PLM systems to drive efficient development and maintain strict technical standards.

Qualifications

• A.A./B.A./B.S. in Fashion Design or Pattern Making required.
• 8+ years of technical design experience in apparel with strong fit/construct.
• Advanced pattern making, grading, construction, textiles, and manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex product category fit sessions ensuring style/fit stays aligned with Brand guidelines.
• Establish and maintain consistent fit standards, pattern blocks, grade rules, and construction standards.
• Evaluate fit issues using advanced knowledge and determine effective solutions.
• Leverage client feedback and data science to improve fit across styles and categories.
• Analyze fit data and feedback to identify root causes and develop data-informed action plans.
• Identify production risks early and provide actionable feedback to vendors/factories.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors; may mentor junior designers.
• Lead special projects to speed time-to-market while supporting broader team.
• Use PLM, 2D/3D pattern tools to streamline development and documentations.
• Communicate workflow risks to ensure on-time delivery per production calendar.
