Job summary

Fourth Floor in NYC seeks a Senior Technical Designer to lead the technical development and fit process for our contemporary womenswear. You will review samples, provide fit and construction feedback, and conduct fittings across woven and knit styles.

Collaborating with Design, Production, Sourcing, Pattern, and Quality teams, you will communicate updates with overseas factories, maintain specifications, mentor juniors, and ensure quality through bulk production. Hybrid, 3 days on site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in technical design for apparel.
• Strong knowledge of apparel construction, fit, patternmaking and manufacturing.
• Experience with woven and knit categories.
• Strong fitting and technical communication skills.
• Knowledge of measurements, tolerances, specifications, and grading.
• Experience working with overseas factories and vendors.
• Understanding of the product development process from development to production.
• Ability to interpret patterns and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the technical team.
