Job description

Senior Technical Consultant - ServiceNow (STC) has advanced knowledge and experience in designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow Platform. The STC will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications to meet business requirements. The role demands strong analytical skills, high research, design, documentation, and software modification capabilities throughout the production lifecycle.

STCs are proactive, providing mentoring and support to team members, and operate with a high level of autonomy. Due to their exceptional skills and decision-making abilities, Senior Developers often act as Project Team Leads.

Responsibilities

• Lead critical project processes such as platform architecture documentation, integration documentation, effort estimation, and sophisticated development tasks.
• Participate in and occasionally lead Scrum meetings.
• Translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features, working closely with the implementation team.
• Ensure technical development and configuration meet high standards, providing guidance to Junior/Mid developers.
• Follow ServiceNow standard processes for technical design within projects.
• Provide timely updates to Project Lead to facilitate proactive communication with customers.
• Contribute to improving Delivery Services processes and maturing capabilities, portfolios, and standards based on customer needs.
• Fill technical or process roles in projects as needed.
• Lead, educate, and mentor colleagues on assigned projects.
• Assist in scoping new opportunities and designing tools and techniques for efficient delivery.
• Serve as the final decision-maker for technical issues within projects.
• Collaborate with HR on technical interviews and recruitment support.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, with proven consulting experience.
• Post-graduate education in software-related topics is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience on the ServiceNow platform.
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA).
• Certified Implementation Specialist for ITSM (CIS-ITSM).
• Experience with two additional ServiceNow product lines outside ITSM.
• Knowledge of ITIL; Foundation level preferred.
• Over 3 years in general consulting, service management, or software development.
• Over 3 years of platform configuration experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, frameworks, and integrations.

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and applicable plan terms.
