Job summary

Dev Technology in Herndon, VA is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation for government-focused projects. You will translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specs, collaborating with clients, Product Owners, developers, testers, and leadership across the SDLC.

The role requires strong facilitation, a solid BA toolkit, and experience with Jira/Confluence in an AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum six years in business or software delivery analysis roles.
• Experience turning business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence for Agile delivery documentation.
• Technical background with exposure to React, Node.js and GitLab.
• Experience in AWS cloud environments and SDLC understanding.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, prioritization of requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional/non-functional specs and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze processes, identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Ensure requirements are detailed, testable, and traceable from objectives to delivery.
• Coordinate with Product Owners, developers, testers and leadership across SDLC.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation in Confluence and related artifacts.
• Support UAT and ensure delivered functionality meets criteria.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and government/business users.
