Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy, helping define requirements and build enterprise APIs with modern, responsive interfaces.

Role requires strong SQL, data transformation, Agile, and manual testing skills, with on-site work in Woodlawn, MD five days a week and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills:

Defining and documenting system requirements; Creating test plans and test cases; Using Agile methodologies; analyzing business processes; writing complex SQL queries, joining multiple tables, and performing data transformations; and experience with Manual Testing

Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week

  • Analyze business processes to identify, define, and document requirements.
  • Writing complex SQL queries, joining multiple tables, and performing data transformations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, including facilitating meetings and sharing information.
  • Write clear, concise, and actionable user stories that accurately capture stakeholder requirements.
  • Conduct manual testing
FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)
  • Proficient in defining system documentation requirements based on input from technical personnel.
  • Experience creating test plan, test cases and test execution.
  • Strong experience working in an Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI Level 3 Methodologies
FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

Master's and 6+ years of experience, Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience or 12+ years in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining Data Flow Diagrams and developing Use Cases.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with manual testing and have good knowledge of DB, SQL and API testing.

  • Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.
  • Strong experience with tools to manage requirements.
  • Skill in analyzing business processes to identify, define, and document requirements.

  • Ability to communicate analytical results and technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Knowledge of requirements gathering methodologies and documentation standards.
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, WebFOCUS).
  • Experience working on Federal Govt Contracts
  • Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC.
  • Familiarity with project management frameworks.
  • Previous experience with Social Security Administration.
  • Agile certification is desired.

PAY RANGE

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
