HiLabs in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a Technical Architect to lead the design of scalable, AI-powered healthcare platforms. You will own backend and cloud-native architecture, build distributed systems, and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with product and data science.

This onsite leadership role requires 10+ years of software experience, deep Java/Spring Boot expertise, and strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong architecture expertise.
• Deep hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience building scalable SaaS or enterprise platforms.
• Exposure to React, modern frontend technologies, and Big Data ecosystems is a plus.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Architecting scalable, reliable, and high-performance healthcare platforms
• Designing cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Driving backend and full-stack architecture using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Building modern APIs, distributed systems, and reusable platform components
• Collaborating with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver AI-driven solutions
• Mentoring engineers and influencing engineering best practices across teams
