Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in architecture leadership.
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, or data mesh architectures.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Proven ADR-driven architectural decision-making at scale.
• Security best practices including identity/access management, encryption, and secrets management.
• Excellent communication to explain trade-offs to engineers and stakeholders.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
• Finance/domain knowledge of market data systems and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Design and document system architecture for new products and major features, balancing scalability, reliability, security, and cost.
• Set and evolve technical standards, patterns, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Champion engineering excellence and promote code quality and enterprise architecture patterns.
• Define and promote testing strategy and standards (unit, integration, regression, chaos).
• Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and services for new initiatives.
• Lead architecture reviews and collaborate with product/business stakeholders to translate requirements into roadmaps.
