We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst with deep experience in utility operations, database programming, and enterprise data systems. This role is central to supporting and enhancing mission‑critical applications across GIS, Outage Management, AMI, Electrical Distribution, and Transmission environments.
You will work heavily on the database and application logic layer, developing PL/SQL code, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring the integrity and performance of systems that directly support grid reliability and operational decision‑making.
This is an ideal role for someone who thrives at the intersection of utilities domain knowledge + hands‑on technical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code, stored procedures, packages, and scripts.
- Support and enhance applications across GIS, Outage Management Systems (OMS), AMI, Work/Asset Management, and related utility platforms.
- Analyze and interpret electrical distribution and transmission data to support operational workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex data and system issues across multiple integrated utility systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to improve data quality, system performance, and application reliability.
- Contribute to data modeling, schema design, and SQL database architecture improvements.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI (or similar tools).
- Participate in code reviews, version control (GIT), and best‑practice development processes.
Must‑Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technical analyst, database developer, or application support roles.
- Strong database programming experience, preferably with Oracle.
- Hands‑on expertise with PL/SQL and SQL database architecture.
- Direct experience in the utilities industry, specifically:
- GIS (ESRI/ArcGIS or similar)
- Outage Management Systems (OMS)
- Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
- Solid understanding of Electrical Distribution and Electrical Transmission operations and data flows.
- Experience troubleshooting complex system integrations across utility operational systems.
- Proficiency with GIT or similar version control tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data modeling and relational schema design.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools.
- Exposure to Work Management, Asset Management, or Inspection systems.
- Scripting experience (Python, Shell, or similar) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Oracle Spatial, OUAF, or utility‑specific Oracle applications is beneficial.
