Job summary

Brief Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Chief Information Officer, Service Central Program Management Office (CIO-2). This role is ideal for a strategic IT leader who excels at assessing organizational and technology needs, developing forward‑looking service and IT strategies, leading complex studies and analyses, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering expert recommendations and technical guidance to senior leadership to drive mission‑focused solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop understanding of organizational, business, and/or technology needs and recommend service solutions
  • Identify and evaluate strategic options and communicate recommendations to organizational leadership
  • Build and develop the IT Strategy through pro‑active engagement with personnel and customers
  • Support assigned special studies; participate in various special projects to meet unique customer requirements
  • Identify future concerns, issues, risks, and needs; develop strategies that accomplish project goals and requirements.
  • Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrates leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing techniques aligned with labor category mission.
  • Demonstrates extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to organizational senior leadership and policymakers.
Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly (or ability to obtain a polygraph)
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience
  • Education: Master’s degree in a related field or Associate's + 4 years relevant experience, Bachelor's + 2 years relevant experience, OR 6 years relevant experience
  • Minimum of ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience creating, analyzing, and publishing Information ITSM metrics.
  • Familiarity with a variety of tools (SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, ServiceNow, Splunk, Tableau) and significantly advanced skill sets with Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, learn new business processes and identify opportunities
  • Keen attention to detail and experience with data entry.
  • Strong business analysis skills and logical mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Self‑motivated; ability to maintain excellence with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an ever‑changing environment.
