Job summary

Altera is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Analyst to support complex accounting, financial reporting, and policy matters for a global semiconductor and technology company. You will partner with multiple functions to derive US GAAP conclusions and reliable reporting outcomes.

The role involves external reporting, SEC filings, and disclosures, with emphasis on GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and writing skills are required, with ERP/Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience including technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Public-company, Big Four, semiconductor, or technology-industry experience preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel; ERP (Oracle Fusion) and XBRL systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with external reporting and drafting of financial statements and SEC disclosures under US GAAP.
• Manage end-to-end filing processes and respond to auditor and legal comments.
• Research complex accounting matters and develop clear conclusions.
• Support contract reviews for accounting implications and disclosures.
• Support statutory reporting for international entities.
• Track new accounting pronouncements and assess impacts.
• Identify opportunities to improve policies, processes, and reporting through automation.
