Job summary

GXM Technologies LLC in Colorado Springs seeks a Senior Technology Scout to identify emerging tech for defense and space programs, translating market signals into actionable insights for government leadership.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to evaluate new capabilities, engage with startups and vendors, and work cross-functionally with engineers and government partners. On-site with hybrid flexibility; TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years in technology, engineering, or defense innovation.
• Experience identifying, researching, and engaging emerging tech companies.
• Ability to synthesize large information and identify trends.

Responsibilities

• Continuously scout commercial and emerging tech to address defense/space mission needs.
• Translate needs into scouting priorities and research criteria.
• Identify startups, nontraditional defense companies, and other market participants.
• Monitor product launches, investments, partnerships, and research breakthroughs.
• Develop technology landscapes, market maps, and scouting pipelines.
• Evaluate technologies for mission relevance, maturity, and integration needs.
• Engage with startups, researchers, and government stakeholders to understand capabilities.
• Develop concise reports and briefs for government and program leadership.
• Clearly communicate value, risks, and next diligence steps.
