Job summary

Pennylane is seeking a Tech Recruiter to own full-cycle recruitment across engineering roles in Europe. You will partner with hiring managers, influence pipelines with data, and leverage AI across sourcing and screening.

This individual contributor role emphasizes ownership, market intelligence, and shaping the recruitment function with a focus on candidate experience. You will join a growing TA team and use Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other tools to deliver top talent while driving employer

Qualifications

• 4+ years of tech recruitment in fast-paced startups/scale-ups.
• Fluent in French and English, comfortable interviewing in both.
• Data-driven, tracking metrics to optimize processes.
• Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers with ownership.
• Experience navigating ATS, ideally Ashby.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruitment on Engineering scope across Europe with team support.

How you'll contribute as a Tech Recruiter

You'll join Pennylane's Tech, Data and Security Talent Acquisition team (a growing team of 5 recruiters, led by Rémi Gourmel) and own recruitment across the Engineering scope all across Europe (the roles include Backend, Frontend, Fullstack, Devops engineers, Engineering Managers, Senior Engineering Managers). In 2025, this team recruited 191 talent, and we’re on track for 2026 as well.

This is an individual contributor role with real ownership of your perimeter, and room to lead structuring projects for the team. You won't just fill roles: you'll act as a trusted advisor to your hiring managers, bring market intelligence and data to influence decisions, and help shape how we recruit tomorrow.

MISSIONS

• Own full-cycle recruitment on your Engineering scope, with the support of your manager and team.
• Be a strategic partner & advisor to hiring managers: challenge, anticipate, alert, and recommend beyond simple pipeline reporting.
• Produce data & predictive reporting (forecasts, early warnings, KPIs) that influence hiring decisions (comp, location, drop-out risk…).
• Leverage AI in your recruitment process (sourcing, screening, automation of Ashby stages) and contribute to our shared AI/agent library.
• Contribute to team projects & rituals: referral program, employer branding, Process, Candidate experience, D&I, AI..
• Build and nurture talent pools proactively on your strategic roles.
• Deliver an outstanding candidate experience end to end.
• Challenge and improve our processes, tools and best practices in a continuous-improvement mindset.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR LIFE AT PENNYLANE

Within 1 month

• Get onboarded.
• Learn your scope, meet your team, hiring managers and the wider Pennylane.
• Start recruiting on key positions.
• AI : Discover our AI stack, shared agent library and how the team uses AI day to day.
• Projects : Understand our ongoing team projects and rituals, and identify where you could contribute.

Within 3 months

• Build and run pipelines on your roles, and deliver.
• Design effective sourcing strategies for strategic positions.
• Start bringing data points and recommendations to your hiring managers.
• AI : Start using existing agents/automations in your daily workflow and automate the first stages of your Ashby process.
• Projects : Contribute to an existing team project and bring ideas to improve our processes.

Within 6 months

• Recruit top talent, above market standards.
• Act as a full advisor to your Business unit: market reality, business stakes, org topics.
• AI : Build or adapt your own agent/automation, measure its impact on a key KPI (TTH, conversion, time saved…) and share it back to the team.
• Projects — Actively contribute to a structuring project (process, candidate experience, data, D&I, employer branding…) end to end.

And beyond

• Multiple opportunities to recruit and grow your career in a scaling team.
• Increasing ownership of side projects and referent topics.
• The ability to design and implement new processes, tools and best practices : and make them last.

YOU’RE THE RIGHT CANDIDATE IF YOU:

• Have at least 4 years of tech recruitment experience in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment.
• Actively use AI in your day-to-day and believe in its potential to transform recruiting.
• Are highly data-driven, tracking the right metrics to continuously measure performance and optimize your processes.
• Are valued by hiring managers as a true business partner, and deliver an exceptional experience to highly sought-after candidates.
• Demonstrate radical ownership and strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of roles in a highly autonomous environment.
• Have experience navigating modern ATS platforms (ideally Ashby).
• Are fluent in French and English and comfortable conducting interviews in both languages
