Job summary

Vanguard seeks a strategic program leader to drive multi-year technology modernization initiatives across cross-functional teams. You will connect platforms, people, and priorities to deliver an integrated client experience, partnering with senior leaders, architects, and engineering teams.

You will shape roadmaps, manage dependencies, and translate complex technical concepts into actionable updates for executives, enabling Vanguard's technology ecosystem to evolve effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of related business experience and at least four years in technical project management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience leading complex technology programs or strategic technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software development and technology delivery practices.
• Experience managing programs involving APIs, system integrations, data movement, and cloud-based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale, cross-functional technology programs supporting enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Manage technology programs or major technical workstreams, aligning scope with business priorities and measuring business value.
• Develop knowledge of Financial Services industry forces to assess viability of approaches and strategies for technology programs.
• Ensure risk mitigation, compliance, audit, and legal requirements are maintained on technology projects.
• Drive strategic planning, execution, and delivery across multiple business and technology organizations.
• Develop program roadmaps, milestone plans, and dependency management frameworks.
• Facilitate technical discussions with architects and engineering leaders, translating concepts for executive leadership.
• Partner with enterprise technology stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
