Job summary

Covista is seeking a Senior Technology Product Owner to define the vision of the portfolio and drive the planning, prioritization and execution of backlogs. You will coach Technology Product Owners on business processes and map strategies that elevate student and colleague experiences.

You will work with architecture, engineering and service management to balance roadmaps, ensure NFRs and system enablers, and drive value across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Nine (9) plus years of Product Management/Product Ownership/Technical Business Analyst experience owning one or more products in an Agile, SaaS Technology environment, or other equivalent methodology.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills - be able to enthusiastically convey Product and Portfolio Technology vision and roadmaps to stakeholders and effectively influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.
• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and work in a fast paced environment with many initiatives.
• Ability to manage a variety of business, IT and vendor resources including managing vendor deliverables based on agreed contracts and statements of work
• Experience of working within an Agile environment, across multiple initiatives and circa 10+ teams.
• Proficient with Agile Product Management, Business Analysis and Business Process Mapping practices and tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, ADO, JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong analytical skills to resolve issues and determine effective business and alternative IT solutions.
• Agile and innovative mind-set with the tenacity to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment and manage multiple competing priorities and initiatives
• Capability to influence and instill credibility in sponsors, peers and subordinates by meeting initiative milestones, deadlines and budget.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner or related Product Owner / Product Manager Preferred.
• SAFe Scrum Master Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and align technology product roadmaps with business priorities.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and service management to balance roadmaps.
• Define metrics post-delivery and drive improvements.
• Build relationships with senior colleagues across business functions and influence outcomes.
• Facilitate business and product mapping sessions and enable changes for growth.
• Partner with vendors to leverage product roadmaps and minimize customization.
• Maintain quality and integrity of product introductions and enhancements.
• Progress deliverables to done and coordinate deployments.
• Build peer group Technology Product and Portfolio community for growth.
• Support objectives, success metrics, and KPI tracking.
• Use approved tools to manage workloads and delivery metrics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
