Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior systems architect to drive architecture across software, cloud deployments, and GenAI initiatives in regulated environments. You will guide data pipelines, microservices, and API strategies while mentoring engineering teams and aligning with ABS objectives.

Bring 10+ years of experience in engineering, strong leadership, and a Canadian license when applicable. Excellent collaboration with executives and cross-functional groups is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent in Engineering or Science (required).
• Master’s or PhD (preferred).
• In Canada, this role requires a Canadian engineering license.
• Practical experience and knowledge in System Architecture, Azure configuration, build and deployment and Gen AI development.
• Practical experience and knowledge in classification, marine & offshore industry technologies and client relationships.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office applications and web-based services.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to organize, manage and motivate personnel.
• Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging industry and regulatory needs and recommend development of product/service development projects.
• Lead architecture initiatives and align technology roadmaps with strategic objectives.
• Oversee GenAI development, data pipelines, APIs, microservices, and integration patterns in regulated cloud environments.
• Develop business cases and coordinate project proposals, strategy, and marketing tools.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams and supervise direct reports as needed.
• Communicate capabilities to internal and external stake-holders and drive client-facing efforts.
• Coordinate with senior management to deliver projects on time and within budget.
