Job summary

Tennr in New York is seeking a Tech Lead Manager to lead the engineering on one of our product pods. You’ll be a player-coach, architecting, scoping, and delivering systems end-to-end while growing a team of engineers to provide reliable, delightful healthcare software.

You should have 7+ years in full-stack or backend software engineering, a proven ability to mentor engineers, and deep knowledge of distributed systems and service-oriented design.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack or back-end software engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior, mid-level and senior engineers.
• Proven track record of building scalable web applications and distributed systems.
• Clear communication and strong time-management skills.
• Interest in improving healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical decisions and contribute through coding, design, and reviews.
• Coach engineers and help hire and grow the team.
• Collaborate with product and design leads to define new features.
• Engage with customers via calls and on-sites to gather feedback.
• Coordinate with product, sales, and customer success to incorporate feedback.
