Job summary

The National Security Agency's Office of General Counsel at Fort Meade seeks a licensed attorney to join the DoD/Defense Legal Service community and provide high‑level legal support.

Ideal candidates will have broad experience, active bar status in at least one state or DC, strong analytical and oral/written presentation skills, and the ability to manage attorneys and work with senior clients; familiarity with DoD policies and operational law is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one state, DC, or U.S. territory, with active status maintained.
• Broad experience in statutes and regulations governing the Intelligence Community.
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex legal analysis and give effective oral and written presentations.
• Ability to forge working relationships with senior-level clients and manage attorneys.
• Substantive knowledge and experience with DoD policies and procedures; ideal in tech transfer, CIO authorities, and operational law (DoD 5240.01 and SIGINT Annex).
