Job summary

MSD is seeking a Principal Developer to own the technical architecture for Teamcenter X PLM, including ITK server-side customization, AWC, and integrations with ERP and CAD systems. You will set engineering standards, lead complex builds, and mentor developers in a regulated, ISO 27001 environment.

You will drive migration from Aras to Teamcenter X, ensure validation artifacts (IQ/OQ/PQ), and partner with admins and partners to deliver a robust digital thread across MSD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on Siemens Teamcenter development experience, including 5+ years on AWC customization.
• Extensive codeful BMIDE customization experience and multi-environment deployment.
• Extensive AWC customization experience: declarative UI, REST/SOA, and client-side handlers.
• Experience setting technical standards and mentoring engineers in PLM environments.
• Experience in regulated environments (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, ISO 9001) with validation artifacts.
• Siemens Teamcenter X certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture for Teamcenter X customizations and integrations across server-side, AWC, and integration layers.
• Lead design, development, and unit-testing of server-side customizations using ITK (C/C++).
• Oversee migration from Aras to Teamcenter X in a regulated environment.
• Architect and review BMIDE extensions; decide codeful vs config-based customization.
• Drive AWC customization strategy and establish front-end engineering standards.
• Define workflow and EPM handlers for engineering change and product release processes.
• Architect end-to-end integrations with JD Edwards ERP, MES, CAD, and QA systems.
• Establish design, code-review, and validation documentation in line with GxP/ISO standards.
• Own source control strategy, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
• Mentor engineers, lead architectural decisions, and participate in cross-functional forums.
• Coordinate environment promotions and upgrade impact analyses; lead RCA for incidents.
